Our Campus recommends that students "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD).
Cooks Hill Campus continues to be a BYOD Campus. All students are encouraged to bring their own Laptop. If you are purchasing a device, please look at the Newcastle High School BYOD Assistance webpage for technology specifications. All major technology stores are aware of school needs. As each student’s project is highly personalised and research based, having your own device is very important. We have an ICT support staff member who attends CHC when required, to assist students with maximising learning with their personal devices. School laptops can be borrowed from the office and must be returned at the end of the day.
Please ensure the device you purchase has enough RAM to store the software you need (this is vital for students engaging in graphic design and multimedia).
